I thought Nidhoggr Mead Co went into administration, is this true?

If Nidhoggr Mead Co went into administration, how are you still trading under that name?

As you can read in the administrators report, the intellectual properties and rights to trade under the name Nidhoggr Mead Co have been purchased during the administration process along with a selection of the remaining stock.

Why have you decided to try again?

Graham - I have been brewing and overseeing production for nearly 4 years and loved creating high quality mead. I am happy to be able to keep fulfilling that role as much as you enjoy drinking them and don’t worry, after all these years I can brew these in my sleep.

Chris - I have organised the events and wholesale side of the company for many years also and I have loved being part of the communities they create. I have met so many great people year on year and I just didn’t want to walk away from it all.

Unemployment wasn’t at all preferential. Mead is what we do and we would be daft not to take up this opportunity to keep doing what we love.

Our first aim is to make sure we have a sustainable business that supports itself and grows over time without being irresponsible with the brand and those who have a shared interest, our customers and our business partners across the supply/events chain.

What does the future hold for Nidhoggr Mead Co?

Graham - We are going to take this one step at a time. With your support we will be here for years to come. We will improve our product and bring you something new and exciting to enjoy. 

Chris - There are plenty of exciting plans afoot and we will share them with you all in good time but for now we are working hard to provide a solid foundation for the business.
